My daughter loves building things with Lego – I see through out the interviews Legos are still a favorite. Every toy with lots of parts and bits and that allows her to transform into another thing, she likes. But she also loves doing her own “toys”, her own “projects” as she calls it ;) - drawing, cutting, molding... she's always asking me for materials :) These are the play times I most enjoy doing with her.
My husband plays with her with Legos, or playing the guitar, I do the projects and sometimes we play games like Pictionary or guess the word all together.

I think kids these days have too many (very elaborate) toys and they need to just think up games of their own. Reading is also good - stimulates the imagination and leads them to wanting to do things on their own.
