Sounds simple, but lots of fun for both little and big kids!
Materials
- Peacock tail feathers
- Pylons
- Large play area such as a field, yard or gymnasium
Directions
- Balance peacock feathers on your palm facing upwards hand, your finger, elbow etc.
- Increase the complexity by going around pylons set up in a line. Advance to a zig, zag formation.
- Set up two lines and race with friends or make a relay.
Purpose
- Gross motor skill development, balancing, hand/eye coordination
Safety Notes
- As children will be doing two activities at once (balancing an object and moving around another) introduce them to the concept of peripheral vision.
