Materials Peacock tail feathers Pylons Large play area such as a field, yard or gymnasium Directions Balance peacock feathers on your palm facing upwards hand, your finger, elbow etc. Increase the complexity by going around pylons set up in a line. Advance to a zig, zag formation. Set up two lines and race with friends or make a relay. Purpose Gross motor skill development, balancing, hand/eye coordination Safety Notes As children will be doing two activities at once (balancing an object and moving around another) introduce them to the concept of peripheral vision.
