Whether for the exploration of process art or to create the appearance of texture for collage making, this is a great activity in that it relies on items within your recycle box to create the fun! Materials Mesh-like items (such as the bag from onions, lemons, avocados) Items with holes from packaging etc. Paper (we used watercolour and/or cardstock) Craft tray Paint Paint brushes (with stiff bristles) Tape We always find a smock helpful too: Directions Don your smock. Lay your paper in your craft tray. Tape down your mesh. This process works best with a dry brush dipped in the paint, dabbing in an up an down motion, rather than painting across. We then carefully removed our mesh bags and taped on the plastic piece with the holes, creating a layered effect. You could wait in between in between layers allowing drying time. Volia! Purpose Exploring various techniques and tools for painting. Safety Notes We suggest that you wear a smock and use a craft tray to protect your clothing and surfaces.
